Sid the Labrador 2010-2024

September 2010 - September 2024

It is with great sadness to tell you that our dear loved Lab Sid, trotted over the rainbow bridge one week before his 14th birthday. He was a constant companion in all our activities. He loved going to the shop, where he was front of house, greeting our many customers with a tail wag, almost as though he knew they were contributing to his food with regular tit bits and gifts from our very kind customers. He also knew that two doors up was Uncle Ray, from the sweet shop, where he would wander up to poke the door open with his nose, then sniff behind the counter where Ray always kept his doggy chews. He would sit with him for five minutes to say thank you, or ask for more, and then saunter back. He loved the many County and Equestrian events we attended, snuggling up to us in the truck at night between our sleeping bags, with one ear always cocked for intruders. During the day he was responsible for introducing many pet loving customers to our stand, and he then looked forward to the walks and sniffs that the beautiful venues offered after the day’s trading. He is survived by Pipsi who we adopted after her breeding days were over. After spending two years with Sid she also misses him, but those of us who have animals know it is the hardest but kindest decision we make for our pets - but my goodness it hurts.
